Terms and Conditions for Online Courses and Performance Packages — GermanPerman
Last update: June 10, 2026
1. Definitions
- Course / learning package: a set of videos, exercises, tests and additional features purchased by the user.
- Learner: a user who registers on the platform and purchases a course or package.
- Forum: a discussion and group support area for different levels.
- Test: the final test of a course and the final level exams.
- Coaching: a learning guidance and planning system that helps learners clearly understand their real progress, weekly path and next step; without pressure and without artificial numbers.
- Performance package: a supplementary practice package for strengthening grammar, sentence building, vocabulary and writing at the relevant level. It includes access to the Schreibtrainer of that level and Performance-related practice features.
- Schreibtrainer: a writing practice tool that reviews the learner's text according to the selected level and displays a corrected version, common mistakes, educational explanations and notes about sentence structure, grammar and vocabulary.
2. Access to content
After purchasing a course, the user will have access to the content of that course for 60 days within the educational structure and activation rules of that course. Learning speed depends entirely on the learner; if the educational order and required steps are completed, the course can be finished earlier because the system is individually oriented.
2.1. Access duration for Performance packages
After purchasing a Performance package, the user will have access to the features of that package, including the Schreibtrainer of the relevant level, for 45 days.
- Performance package access is independent from the main video courses.
- The validity period of Performance packages is set to 45 days in the YITH membership system.
- After 45 days, access to the Schreibtrainer of that package is automatically deactivated unless the user purchases the package again.
- A Performance package alone does not replace the main course and is offered as a tool for practicing and strengthening language skills.
2.2. Step-by-step educational path and gradual content activation
Some GermanPerman courses and learning packages are designed step by step. In this structure, access to certain videos, lessons or later parts of a course may depend on completing previous parts. This method is designed to protect learning quality, prevent incomplete learning and support the learner.
Purchasing a course or learning package does not mean unordered, free and non-sequential access to every part of that course. Access is activated within the educational path of the course, and some parts may become available only after completing the previous step.
- In some courses, the next video is activated only after sufficient viewing and completion of the previous video.
- In some courses, the next lesson is activated only after real completion of the previous lesson.
- Completion can be assessed based on technical and educational criteria such as active viewing time, progress and reaching a defined minimum percentage.
- Manually opening a specific video, if available, activates only that video and does not mean the lesson is completed, the next video is unlocked or that section is completed.
- Manual opening of a video does not replace real viewing, educational completion or passing a test.
- For later lessons to become active, real completion of previous lessons is decisive.
GermanPerman may update or modify the step-by-step activation structure, the order of videos and lessons, completion criteria, tests and learning path in order to preserve educational quality and improve the learner's chance of success.
3. Online classes
GermanPerman courses and packages are provided as offline videos, practice products or tool-based digital products and do not include live online classes, unless this is separately stated in a product description.
4. Forums and support
- By purchasing a course, access to the forum of the relevant level and the general German forum is activated, except for packages with special rules in their product descriptions.
- Posts in the general German forum should be in German. Forum managers maintain quality and respectful conduct.
- Support forums for each level are automatically activated for buyers of that level; for example, an A1.1 buyer gets access to the A1 support forum.
- Performance packages may not include direct forum access unless stated in the relevant product description.
- For grammar, vocabulary, sentence building and writing questions at each level, using the Schreibtrainer and Performance features is recommended.
4.1. Support ticket system
For technical issues, payment problems, account login, course activation, apps, learning packages or other requests related to GermanPerman services, the user can use the support ticket system.
- Each support request is registered with a dedicated ticket number.
- The user can view and track the ticket status in the user account panel.
- Support replies are communicated by email and/or through the user account panel.
- The user can reply in the same ticket and, if needed, send an image, screenshot or related file.
- To preserve the history and allow more accurate review, the user should continue the same topic in the previous ticket and avoid creating duplicate tickets for one problem.
Visible statuses may include “under review”, “answered” and “closed”. Some internal statuses are visible only to the GermanPerman support team and are used for better request management.
If the user does not reply within the defined time after a support response, GermanPerman may close the ticket automatically or manually. If needed, the user can reply again in the same ticket and it will be reopened for review.
4.2. Sending files and images in tickets
The user may send files such as error images, screenshots or relevant PDF files through the ticket system to explain a problem more clearly.
- Files may only be sent to explain the problem and must be directly related to the support request.
- The user must not send irrelevant, illegal, offensive, promotional or rights-infringing content.
- The user is responsible for the content of files uploaded in tickets.
- GermanPerman may delete irrelevant, suspicious or inappropriate files or refuse to review them.
- Before sending a screenshot, users are advised to hide unnecessary sensitive information such as passwords, full bank card details or personal data of others.
5. Performance packages and Schreibtrainer
Performance packages are designed for learners who want to actively practice grammar, vocabulary, sentence building and writing in addition to watching the courses.
5.1. Levels of Performance packages
- Performance A1: basic practice, articles, simple verbs, short sentences, simple accusative and dative.
- Performance A2: practice of perfect tense, modal verbs, simple subordinate clauses, everyday texts and verb position.
- Performance B1: practice of emails, applications, expressing opinions, subordinate clauses, Konjunktiv II, passive and longer texts.
- Performance B2: advanced writing, argumentation, connectors, passive, subjunctive, indirect speech and more formal style.
5.2. Level limitation in the Schreibtrainer
Each Schreibtrainer is designed for a specific level. If the user enters a text that is above the purchased package in structure, length, topic or language level, the system may suggest using a higher-level package.
5.3. Nature of text correction
The Schreibtrainer is an educational tool to help detect mistakes and practice writing better. Output may include a corrected version, error explanations, grammar notes and educational suggestions. It does not fully replace a teacher, human editor or official exam correction.
5.4. Use limitations and abuse
- The Schreibtrainer may only be used for the buyer's own user account.
- Sharing access, selling the account, bulk text submission by others or commercial use without permission is prohibited.
- If unusual use, abuse or attempts to bypass limitations are detected, GermanPerman may restrict access or review the account.
5.5. Pronunciation apps and Speech Training
GermanPerman pronunciation apps, including GP Speech DE, are digital educational products for pronunciation practice, fluent reading and speaking skills. They include level-based practice packages, demo sentences and packages purchasable through in-app purchases.
- The demo version contains only a limited number of free sentences for initial testing.
- For full access to a package, the user must activate that package through an in-app purchase.
- Activation applies only to the same user account and cannot be transferred to another account.
- Sharing the account, selling access, simultaneous use by multiple people or transferring a purchased package to others is not allowed.
- GermanPerman may review, restrict or block access in case of unusual use, abuse or attempts to bypass limitations.
5.5.1. Access duration of pronunciation packages
After purchasing a pronunciation package in the app, access is activated for the period stated in the app or product description. In the current app version, pronunciation package access is activated by default for 45 days, unless a different duration is stated in the product description or store policy.
- After the access period ends, the package may be deactivated.
- For renewed use, the user must purchase the package again unless store rules or product descriptions state otherwise.
- User progress may be stored on the device or user account, but permanent storage of local data after app deletion, device change or memory cleanup is not guaranteed.
5.5.2. In-app payment
Purchases of pronunciation packages in GermanPerman mobile apps may be made through supported stores such as Cafe Bazaar, Myket or other official stores. Price, tax, payment method and payment confirmation follow the rules of the relevant store.
- Product IDs and prices are defined in the relevant store panel.
- After successful payment, the relevant package is activated in the app for the same user account.
- If a payment or activation error occurs, the user must contact GermanPerman support and, if necessary, the support of the relevant store.
- Price changes for in-app products may require review or approval by the relevant store.
5.5.3. Microphone and speech recognition
Speech Training apps use the device microphone to assess the user's pronunciation. This access is activated only when the user presses the microphone button to start practice.
- The microphone is used to receive the user's voice and convert speech to text for comparison with the training sentence.
- In the current app version, GermanPerman does not store the user's audio file.
- User audio is not used for advertising, data sales, commercial analysis or non-educational purposes.
- Speech recognition may depend on operating system features, device speech services or Android-related services.
- Without microphone permission, the full pronunciation practice feature cannot be used.
5.5.4. Educational nature of pronunciation feedback
The app's speech recognition system attempts to compare the sentence spoken by the user with the training sentence. This comparison may be affected by microphone quality, background noise, accent, speaking speed, internet connection, device settings and the quality of the speech recognition service.
- In some cases, a correct sentence may receive a lower score.
- In some cases, an incomplete or similar sentence may be partially accepted.
- The goal is more practice and increased awareness of pronunciation, not official scoring.
5.5.5. Refunds for in-app products
Due to the digital nature of pronunciation packages and their immediate activation after purchase, refunds are generally not possible except in exceptional cases reviewed and approved at the discretion of GermanPerman support or according to the relevant store rules.
- If payment was made but the package was not activated, the user must send the payment receipt and account information to support.
- If a technical error is confirmed, GermanPerman will try to activate access or fix the issue.
- Refund requests are also subject to the rules of the payment store, such as Bazaar or Myket.
5.6. GermanPerman video apps
GermanPerman video apps, including GP A1-1 DE, are digital educational products for watching video lessons, tracking the learning path and using coaching features. They can be published separately for each level or learning package, such as A1-1, A1-2, A2-1 and later courses.
- Each video app applies only to the course or package specified in its title, product description and app identifier.
- Access is activated for the same user account after registration, login and purchase activation.
- Access activation cannot be transferred to another account, number or user.
- Sharing accounts, selling access, simultaneous use by multiple people or attempts to bypass the access system are prohibited.
- GermanPerman may review, restrict or block access in case of unusual use, abuse or bypass attempts.
5.6.1. Access duration of video apps
Access to video content in each app is activated for the period stated in the product description, store panel or GermanPerman membership system. In the current version of video apps, course access may be set by default to 60 days, unless the product description or store rules state otherwise.
- After the access period ends, video viewing and related features may be disabled.
- For renewed use, the user must purchase or renew access to the same package unless the product description states otherwise.
- Learning progress, watched videos and study time may be stored in the user account or coaching system, but permanent data storage after app deletion, device change, memory cleanup or technical issues is not guaranteed.
5.6.2. Payment and activation in video apps
Purchases or access activation in video apps may be made through supported stores such as Cafe Bazaar, Myket or other official GermanPerman methods. Price, payment method, purchase receipt and confirmation follow the rules of the relevant store or payment method.
- Product ID, access duration and price are defined in the store panel or GermanPerman sales system.
- After successful payment, access should be activated for the same user account used to register or log in to the app.
- If payment is made but access is not activated, the user must send the receipt, username, email and registered phone number to support.
- After confirming a technical error, GermanPerman will try to activate access or fix the issue.
5.6.3. Learning path and coaching in video apps
Video apps may include coaching, progress reports, study time display, watched videos and learning path suggestions. This information helps learning planning and is not an official criterion for passing, exam score or certificate.
- Study time and progress are calculated based on technical data recorded by the app and may be affected by internet connection, device change, logout, server error or deletion of local data.
- Coaching is an auxiliary tool for making the learning path transparent and does not replace a teacher, official exam or human assessment.
- Some coaching features may be changed, completed or updated over time.
5.6.4. Video playback and technical limitations
Educational videos in video apps are streamed through GermanPerman servers or related infrastructure. Playback quality may be affected by internet speed, server status, device limitations, Android version, device memory or network conditions.
- The user needs a stable internet connection to use the videos.
- Downloading, recording, republishing, sharing or extracting video links without written permission from GermanPerman is prohibited.
- Any attempt to bypass the access system, extract HLS links, share keys or use video content without permission may result in account blocking.
5.6.5. Refunds for video apps
Due to the digital nature of video content and access activation after purchase, refunds are generally not possible except in exceptional cases reviewed and approved at the discretion of GermanPerman support or according to the relevant store rules.
- If a purchase was made but access was not activated, the user must send the payment receipt and account information to support.
- If a technical error is confirmed, GermanPerman will try to activate access or fix the issue.
- Refund requests are also subject to the rules of the payment store, such as Bazaar or Myket.
6. Test structure and passing process
Each course includes a final course test. After passing a course test, that course is considered completed, although access remains available until the defined access period ends unless the product description states otherwise.
6.1. Rules for order and test activation
- The user will not have access to the next course test until the current course test has been passed.
- Example: A1.1 must be passed before the A1.2 test becomes active.
6.1.1. Test activation based on learning path completion
Access to a course test is not activated by purchase alone. Before starting a test, the learner must first sufficiently complete the educational path of that course.
This condition protects learning quality and prevents entering the test too early. GermanPerman tries to let learners enter a test when they have the required learning readiness, not merely because they purchased access.
- To start the A1.1 test, the A1.1 learning path must be completed.
- To start the A1.2 test, completion of the A1.2 learning path and passing A1.1 are required.
- Later courses may also require completion of the relevant learning path and passing prerequisite tests.
- Incomplete video viewing, quickly skipping lessons or manually opening a video does not mean readiness for the test.
- GermanPerman may keep the test inactive until the required conditions are met or show an educational explanation and progress status instead of the test button.
6.2. Test repetition and limitations
If a user passes a course test, that test cannot be repeated. This rule prevents abuse and protects learning quality.
6.3. Final level exams
After passing the courses of a level, for example A1.1 and A1.2, the final level exam is activated. The final exam includes grammar, reading comprehension, listening and writing.
Strict rule: If the user fails any part of the final exam, all parts must be taken again from the beginning, starting with grammar.
7. Completion certificate / Teilnehmerbescheinigung
- The certificate is issued only once. However, the certificate file remains available for download in the user account for up to 10 years.
- For issuing the certificate, the user must enter the correct first and last name in the profile according to their documents; otherwise, the username will be used and the platform is not responsible for correction after issuance.
- Performance packages alone do not necessarily include a completion certificate unless this is clearly stated in the product description.
8. Coaching and learning planning
At GermanPerman, “Coaching” does not mean control or pressure; it is a transparent system for better planning and decision-making in learning. The learner can set the path manually or use system suggestions.
- Manual planning: the learner decides how much time to spend learning each week.
- Automatic planning: the system suggests a time amount based on the weekly course path so the learner knows approximately how much study is needed to stay “on track”. This suggestion can be changed.
The system displays numbers in a way that is understandable and verifiable; instead of unclear percentages, learning time is shown in real minutes and hours.
Alongside Coaching, some courses may guide the educational path step by step. This is part of GermanPerman's educational responsibility and helps support ordered learning, prevent harmful jumps and preserve course quality.
9. User conduct rules
- Sharing accounts, selling course content, publishing learning content, publishing exam questions or transferring Performance access to others is prohibited.
- Respectful behavior in forums is mandatory; insults or inappropriate content can lead to account suspension.
- Commercial republication of course content, exclusive Schreibtrainer outputs or internal platform materials without written permission is prohibited.
10. Responsibilities and content updates
The platform must maintain educational content and technical support at an appropriate level. GermanPerman may update the structure of courses, tests, forums, Performance packages and educational tools such as the Schreibtrainer to improve quality; important changes will be announced on this page.
11. Refund policy
Due to the digital nature of the products, refunds are not available after purchase except in exceptional cases determined at the discretion of support.
This rule also applies to main courses, Performance packages, pronunciation packages, practice tools and other GermanPerman digital products.
12. Changes to the terms
Any changes to these terms will be published on this page with the update date. Continued use of the services after publication means acceptance of the new terms.
